As 2025 comes to a close, we find ourselves reflecting on and celebrating the creativity and transformation that made this year truly meaningful. At Curated Home Designs, 2025 has been defined by collaboration, growth, and beautifully personal homes shaped through thoughtful, curated interior design.
Come with us, as we look back at the projects, lessons, and design moments that inspired us most.

Project Highlights: Homes Designed with Intention
Some of our favorite transformations this year began with homeowners seeking clarity, confidence, and guidance – proof that curated interior design is about more than aesthetics. It’s about aligning lifestyle, architecture, and personal story.
Mary & Jim’s Home
Their project will always hold a special place in our hearts. What began as a Designer By Your Side engagement evolved into a full-service partnership, allowing us to thoughtfully shape multiple rooms with warmth and meaning.
Design moments we loved:
- A custom dining table collaboration with Relic Tables – crafted for gathering.
- A designer powder room so beautiful that Mary pauses to admire it every night.
- A layered living + dining space blending beloved existing pieces with curated additions.
- A vintage rug in the primary suite – character anchoring the space.
This home reflects what curated interior design is all about: collaboration, personality, intention, and honoring what already matters.
It also reinforces an important truth – every design decision influences the next. Planning well now supports future projects later.
Behind the Designs: Business Growth + Clarity
Outside the studio and job sites, 2025 was also a year of professional refinement.
- Our CEO and owner, Christie, attended the Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Businesses Summit, meeting with representatives on Capitol Hill to advocate for small business owners everywhere.
- She networked with industry leaders at a massive celebration at Union Station – a surreal moment of connection, gratitude, and inspiration.
- Curated Home Designs participated in the Baltimore Design Expo, deepening relationships with local vendors, artists, and makers.
- And Christie completed the BLocal BUILD College, gaining insight into commercial build spaces, bidding, legal, and insurance processes.
Two big takeaways emerged:
- Leadership growth and community impact matter just as much as beautiful homes.
- We are exactly where we’re meant to be – partnering with local homeowners!
This year brought clarity, confidence, and the motivation to streamline, strengthen systems, and prepare for what’s next.

Design Directions That Shaped the Year
The Era of Green
After years of blue dominating design palettes, green had its moment – soft, deep, earthy, mossy, olive, and everything in between. It brought a sense of grounding, comfort, and nature into the home.
Let Art Lead the Space
Some of our most cohesive rooms started with a single piece of artwork or sentimental object. When the inspiration is meaningful, the design follows effortlessly. We are excited to take this trend further and explore the possibilities available when inspiration is found in unique pieces.

Curated Interior Design Trends We Hope Stay Forever
These aren’t trends as much as long-term design philosophies we hope follow us into 2026:
- Custom framing + sentimental pieces – homes should honor history, not erase it.
- Broadloom bound rugs, especially in long or narrow rooms – creating intimacy, softness, and cohesion.
- Designing around architectural challenges, like large open living rooms or tricky doorways, and using them as opportunities for clarity and flow rather than clutter.
Curated design is thoughtful design – and that will always be in style!

Looking Ahead to 2026
We end this year grateful. Grateful for the trust of our clients, the creativity of our collaborators, and the opportunity to design homes that feel lived in, loved, and truly personal.
We’re excited to continue offering thoughtful, intentional, curated interior design to homeowners ready to transform their spaces with clarity and confidence.
Here’s to a beautifully designed new year.
